Cassandra Monique Batie aka Andra Day is an American R&B/Soul songwriter and singer. Andra is not simply a throwback R&B performer, but her gospel jazz roots and blues is presented in a manner that's effortless and stylish. She first appeared in the movie Halloween as Allyson and was later seen in several television shows including Orange Is the New Black (Orange is the new black), 666 Park Avenue (666 Park Avenue) as well as Blue Bloods as well as Orange is the New Black.
